Cheeky released "Choke on a Cheeseburger" with Quote Unquote Records this Christmas (yesterday)! I laid out the liner notes, Jeff Rosenstock from Bomb the Music Industry, Quote Unquote, and Media Frenzy Design tweaked it to look as good as it does now. I'm really happy with how it looks, and super excited to be working with Quote Unquote!

Virgo Horoscope for Nov 30, 2007
Virgo Horoscope (Aug 23 - Sep 22)
Certain aspects of your life may not be unfolding according to your plan these days, yet you can make choices to put yourself back on track. Flexibility will likely get you further now than trying to maintain your current position. Even if circumstances seem immovable, visualize your destination and then work hard to make it real.

2005
(click it!)
On the theme of old art stuff, I found this image from 2005. In July of 2005 we had an LIWC art show, and these were the prints I showed. They're collage, silkscreen, and various other mixed media. The silkscreen image is of my grandma.

IN THE FOREST
These images and the owl silkscreen in the post below this are all images from my senior project, called "In the Forest."
These are collages made on dead Polaroid film.
These are two of my old roommates, Aimee and Jayme, hanging out in my installation. They kept me company. Jayme saved me from seclusion on day two of installation, and helped me install the whole project.

workin' class art: call for artists!
My friend Zoeann is working on a poster project for a show at the Bread and Roses Gallery in NYC. She needs 45 posters in the next two weeks, and you are invited to participate, and make a poster!
Here is a description of the project:
The show will be up in April. The posters are supposed to depict what workers look like today. So often labor art is about white men in factories. As you know the labor movement today looks quite different...
We are looking for posters depicting workers today. 5 posters will be reproduced and mass distributed around the country. The posters need to be 19" x25" and done in the next two weeks. You could make a poster about anything, garment workers, janitors, bus drivers, garbage removal workers, secretaries, nurses, migrant fruit pickers and so on. The idea is to depict modern day jobs in the context of the labor movement.
If yr interested, start making a poster! You can contact me at katewadkins@gmail.com and I can definitely get you in touch with Zoeann.
LOVE, KW
